Are these real past questions?

No, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Every Clevate question is original, written to match the published format and syllabus of your board, so there is no real paper behind it. They are genuine exam preparation in the right shape, and they are not a real paper from any year. Clevate is not affiliated with any exam board.

How does the Arena actually work?

Pick a subject, get matched with another student (or invite a friend with a 6-letter code), and race through questions in real time. 1v1 battles are head-to-head. Race mode pits up to 10 players against the clock. You earn XP and climb ranks from Bronze upward, and every match doubles as exam practice.

Can I really upload my own school notes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Drop a PDF, your teacher's handout, your own notes, or a textbook chapter into your Study Vault, and it will explain it, quiz you on it, and turn it into flashcards. It studies what your school actually taught you, not a generic syllabus.

What if I'm retaking after a low score?

Then Clevate is built for you specifically. Low scores usually mean unfocused prep, not a lack of effort. Clevate shows you exactly which topics carry the most marks, tracks your weak spots after every mock, and rebuilds your prep around what's actually tested.

Is my data and payment secure?

Accepted Answer

Payments run through Paystack, the same processor used by most major platforms — we never see or store your card details. Your uploaded documents live in a private folder that only your account can read, are served through a link that expires after an hour, and carry a visible watermark. We do not sell your data and we do not use your documents to train public AI models.

Does Focus mode stop me using my phone?

Accepted Answer

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. No app can block your phone — it is running on the same device, and a determined user can always defeat it. What Clevate Focus does is record whether you left a study block and refuse to credit sessions you walked away from. It is free on every plan, and the record is honest.

Do I need to pay to practise?

Accepted Answer

No. The Arena, the Weekly Challenge and mock exams are on the free plan. Paid plans add worked explanations on every question, every subject in the bank, and AI essay grading — depth, not gates.
